CNG Vehicle Towing Guidelines

Hexagon^® Agility^® compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicle towing and recovery guidelines are intended to be general instructions and may not apply to every circumstance.

Post Accident Towing

For incidents with direct impact to fuel system or severe vehicle impact, qualified personnel must inspect the CNG fuel system to deem if unit is safe for towing. If not safe, CNG fuel system must be defueled prior to transport.

Towing

1. CLOSE 1/4-turn manual shutoff valve and manual cylinder valves. 

2. Ensure towing apparatus will not contact any fuel system component.

3. Follow vehicle manufacturers instruction for towing.

 WARNING  Do not attach towing equipment to fuel system or allow towing equipment to come into

contact with any part of the fuel system.
